We loved our experience there even though we didn't walk far because the snakes were active at that time. I was wearing sandals!

The Preserve is about 2.5 miles north on Thousand Palms Canyon Road. That road is off Ramon. The closer you are to Ramon, the shorter the drive. It's probably 30 minutes. Please check the website to confirm hours. It is closed Monday and Tuesday and only open from 8-4 Wed-Sunday.

You can do the little loop at the Coachella valley preserve to the oasis and back , that is easy and you can still see the followers. You can see the beautiful wild flowers at Joshua Tree park. You can enter from the south side, they are beautiful and just stop your car. You can also depending where you are the Borrego Spring park, there were beautiful flowers.

No. Walk right in for free. They do accept donations to support cause.
