A Met Office map shows areas 'at risk' of being battered by the tail end of Hurricane Kirk next week, with heavy rain and strong winds set to hit parts of the UK

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms on Monday across the south of England and Wales.

The Met Office said the whole of England and Wales, plus southern Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland are at risk of 'disruption' from Kirk - although it is too early to issue specific warnings.

Recent weeks have seen severe flooding hit parts of the UK which turned roads into rivers and left towns and villages cut off.
