Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital late Wednesday night. There were speculations about Tata's deteriorating health, but two days prior to his passing away, Ratan Tata dismissed all the rumours with a social media post.

Following Ratan Tata's death at 83, Maharashtra and Jharkhand have announced one-day state mourning. The industrialist died at Candy Breach Hospital in Mumbai.
