Huntsville Police have arrested and charged a man with reckless murder in connection with a deadly shooting Saturday night, and more arrests are expected, according to the department. Jordan Latrell Smith, 21, of Huntsville, was booked into the Madison County Jail at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Huntsville Police say a second person has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened on Meridian Street on Oct. 12.

The Huntsville Police Department said it has arrested a man after a shooting on Saturday that left one dead and another critically injured.

One person was killed, not two as Huntsville police originally reported, in a double shooting Saturday night, the department said Monday. Damien Obrien Manning, 22, was found with a gunshot wound at a gas station at 3310 Meridian St. around 10 p.m. Saturday, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chevron cashier Ramson Baker was behind the register Saturday night and recalls more than 200 people gathered in the parking lot of the gas station. He says a majority of the crowd had guns in their hands ranging from hand guns to assault rifles. Baker says so many shots were fired he lost count.

The Huntsville Police Department said they were working to investigate a shooting in the 3300 block of Meridian Street Saturday night. HPD said one person was shot and died from their injuries.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Officials with the Huntsville Police Department say one person is dead following a shooting on Saturday morning. Officers say the shooting happened at the 4000 block of Pulaski Pike. Officials also said that when officers arrived they located one person with a gun shot wound. Officials with HPD confirmed that person later died.
