More than two dozen students have been injured in clashes with Pakistani police over reports of an on-campus rape of a young woman.

At least 250 violent protesters were arrested in Rawalpindi as police used tear gas to disperse students demonstrating against the alleged rape of a Lahore student.

Over 24 students protesting against the alleged assault on a female student from a private college have been arrested, while a case has been registered against 250 unidentified individuals in Lahore on Thursday. The case was filed at Harbanspura Police Station by Sub-Inspector Usman Akbar.
