Interest in the Menendez brothers has intensified after the release of a new Netflix drama about the case. A separate documentary is forthcoming.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles say they are reviewing new evidence in the case of the Menendez brothers to determine whether they should be serving life sentences for killing their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion more than 35 years ago.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón said the Menendez murder case is being reviewed by his office — naming two specific new factors in the case that prosecutors are looking at ahead of a court hearing next month.
